I’m feeling like Triathlon in 2012

After reading some of Jody Swallow’s blog posts I’ve seem to have gotten a bug in my ear to go out and start training for an olympic distance Triathlon this year. Training for a .9 mile swim, 25 mile bike and a 6.2 mile run is just what I need to get back into my groove of things. My baby daughter put the breaks on my early season cycling routine this year but now that she is sleeping more and more I think I can squeeze out the training for this. A new respect for full time mom and dads.

Tonight I had my daughter for an extended period of time while the wife went to a bachelorette partyy. During this time I really got a feel for what they might go through on a busy day. It’s becoming harder and harder to find those true blogs

SSH Tunnel Manager App for Mac.

Creating SSH tunnels is a big part of my day to day job. Normally, no matter where I am at I need to create a tunnel to my work’s server in order to get into other internal systems. Normally I would just use a shell to do this but I found an app on the Apple Store called SSH Tunnel Manager. You can create various tunnels to various servers. Once you create a tunnel you can then change your Sock proxy settings in Firefox and surf through that tunnel. The cool thing is everything in encrypted up to the SSH tunnel’s endpoint. This means nothing can be sniffed up to
